Playlabs are back! Michigan Stage returns for another semester of after-school Playlabs. These one-of-a-kind theater programs are fun for all. Participants work together to create an original performance, along the way, gaining acting training, improv skills and working together as a team under the guidance of professional directors and teaching artists. Register here today. All programs begin the week of January 22nd.

Spring 2024 SLMS Swim Club

South Lake Middle School is offering a Spring 2024 SLMS swim club.

We are working on the details, but if you have any questions, please email [email protected]

Your SLMS student does not need to know how to swim but needs the desire to try!

The plan is to leave SLMS on a South Lake school bus at 3:20 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays and take the bus to the high school pool.

Your middle school student must be picked up at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the season at door #5 on the SLHS driveway.

"The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education." - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Let's have another great week!

Drop-Off / Pick-Up Procedures

The west parking lot is for staff parking only. The east parking lot is for staff parking and buses only. Parents may not park in either lot. Visitor parking is in the front circle drive.

Students are dropped off/picked up in three locations: along Maxine Street heading eastbound only so students step out of the vehicle on to school property (we don't want students crossing traffic), in front of the school in the circle drive (one direction - enter near the flagpole and exit on California near Harper), and buses in the east parking lot drive-through lane. The east parking lot drive-through is for buses only. No students are to be dropped off on California Street in either direction!

The cafeteria opens at 7:45 a.m. only for students needing breakfast. Students dropped off from vehicles or buses may walk around the building and enter cafeteria Door #6 after 7:45 a.m. to get breakfast. All other students must line up and enter the building at their assigned doors by 8:00 a.m. School officially starts at 8:05 a.m.

6th grade students line up at Door #13 on the Maxine/North side of the school building.

7th grade students line up at Door #16 on the West side of the school building.

8th grade students line up at Door #2 in front of the school by the flagpole.
